Teaching Philosophy: We focus on fundamental skills of musicianship such as reading, critical listening, and core technical proficiency. This is all in the service of giving the students their own tools to develop a creative musical voice. I believe that all students will be successful with tenacity, patience, and positivity. We focus on simplifying problems to create workable solutions for students no matter what their various individual challenges.
Get to know Aaron Crouch
Aaron Crouch teaches drums here at Music & Arts. He has toured the US and Mexico extensively, performing with the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus Band. He has also been active in the music scenes of New York and Dallas/Fort Worth Metro areas. He has been playing the drums and the piano for over 25 years and in recent years has branched out as a multi-instrumentalist and composer. He has been involved in music education since 1998 and enjoys spreading his love of music to new generations. He holds a bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas, a Master of Fine Arts in Professional Composition and Orchestration from the University of Chichester, and also attended Interlochen Arts Academy. Aaron teaches drum set in popular styles, as well as snare drum and mallet percussion for school band percussionists.
