I was born in Paterson, NJ to professional ballet dancers. I moved to Michigan at five and began playing guitar at twelve. Shortly joining a band and played in rock bands throughout middle and high school. At fifteen I began studying classical guitar and later jazz. After high school I attended Berklee College of Music focusing on jazz composition and theory. Berklee was an amazing musical experience as well as exposing me to a variety of aspects of the music business. In 2000 I moved to Tucson, Az to attend the University of Arizona for classical guitar and modern composition. Afterwhich I returned to Michigan to play with over twenty bands in a five year period. Mostly rock but also some notable world music projects: a belly dancing ensemble, reggae band produced by one Bob Marley’s guitarists and an Egyptian themed prog-metal band. In 2011 I moved to Seattle to explore the diverse music of the Pacific Northwest and taught beginning capoeira (Brazillian dance-fighting).
