About Alejandro Lopez

Hello Everyone!

My name is Alejandro Lopez and I teach Saxophone and Clarinet lessons at Music and Arts. I’m also a private teacher for the North East Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas.

I have a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Houston and a Master of Music from Baylor University. I’ve played with the San Antonio Wind Symphony, Victoria Symphony, Brazosport Symphony, AURA contemporary ensemble, and others.

During my lessons I focus on fundamentals like technique, sound and rhythm. I encourage my students to practice exercises and repertoire/songs. I teach all kinds of musical genres like classical, jazz, and modern/pop music.
