Teaching Philosophy: I believe in learning auraly as much as possible in early years and developing a great tone as the most important aspect of playing the violin. The techniques of the left and right hand can always be added but a great tone and tonal development is everlasting.

Get to know Ali

Alexandra is an artist, violinist, and educator originally from Maryland. She has studied violin since she was nine years old, playing in orchestra, quartets, bands and busking. Alexandra studied at the Peabody Preparatory in Baltimore Maryland 2003-2006, where she studied with Teo Tetel and Rebecca Henry. At the Preparatory she pursued weekly private lessons, preparatory orchestra, and studio recitals and master classes. As a student at Syracuse University, Alexandra played chamber music and took private lessons. 

While pursuing her art making Alexandra taught last year at the Waldorf School of Saratoga Springs 2020-2021, and is working on her Teaching Certificate for NY State. She teaches primarily with the Suzuki Method and in 2017 took the entry course Every Child Can!
