About Alexis Jackson

Lexi Jackson is a bit of a saxophone nerd. While studying under Dr. Alex Graham at Belmont University, Lexi enjoyed learning about music and the saxophone from every angle--theory, harmony, history, technique, even a bit of psychology--and performed in the school's most prestigious ensembles, including the top Jazz Big Band and Wind Ensemble. She had the privilege of learning from many of Belmont's honored guests, including Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones), Dave Liebman (Miles Davis, Chick Corea), and Jovan Quallo (Jake Owen, Meghan Trainor). Lexi began her teaching career at Belmont as well, working as a music theory tutor for the School of Music.

Since graduating, Lexi has recorded and performed in and around Nashville in addition to teaching lessons at Music & Arts and in Metro Nashville Schools. In her spare time, Lexi likes to drink coffee, read, practice, and spend time with her cat, O'Malley.
