      Get to know Allan Young

      Allan Young is a guitar, ukulele, mandolin, and bass teacher who helps students build strong fundamentals while keeping lessons fun, engaging, and goal-focused. He teaches a wide range of musical styles, including rock, pop, classical, and other popular genres, while incorporating improvisation, music reading, songwriting, and music theory into lessons tailored to each student’s interests and aspirations. Whether preparing for school jazz ensembles, auditions, recitals, jam sessions, original songwriting projects, or simply playing for enjoyment, Allan provides the tools and guidance students need to succeed. Allan brings over 20 years of teaching experience and was recognized as a semi-finalist for Music & Arts Educator of the Year in 2019.
