About Allyson Rhoades
Get to know Allyson Rhoades
Allyson Rhoades is a bowed strings teacher who works with beginner to advanced students, creating energetic and engaging lessons that balance discipline, technique, and fun. With a strong foundation in classical music education, she teaches musicianship, music theory, and music history while helping students develop the skills needed to succeed in any genre. Allyson believes growth comes from embracing challenges and learning through mistakes, helping students build confidence, resilience, and independence as musicians. She encourages students to seek out performance opportunities through recitals, school programs, auditions, and community events. Allyson holds a Bachelor of Music Education from UNC Greensboro, is licensed to teach K–12 music in North Carolina, serves as a high school band and orchestra director, and performs regularly with the Lake Norman Community Orchestra and the Amavé String Quartet.
