Education: I am pursuing a bachelors degree in music at the College of Charleston.
Performance Experience: I have performed with the College of Charleston Orchestra and Chamber Music ensembles, participated in conferences and galas throughout the Charleston area, and regularly perform at my church.
Teaching Experience: In my violin repertoire classes, we are encouraged to critique our peers’ performances to help them improve on their instruments, while also offering support and encouragement. The only teaching experience I have for the violin is through these peer critiques, which have helped me develop a foundational understanding of instructional communication and musical analysis.
Teaching Philosophy: You don't have to be perfect to start, but you have to start to get anywhere near perfect.
Get to know Amber
I have played the violin for over ten years and have come to realize that playing the violin is my true calling. I am excited to teach beginners the fundamentals and to help advanced players refine their skills and reach new heights.
