Performance Experience: UNT College of Music: Fall 2021 Piano Recital: Bach Prelude & Fugue in D minor, BWV 851; Haydn Sonata Hob. XVI: 37 Movement 1 in D Major; Liszt Consolation No. 3 in D flat major. Green Brigade Marching Band Fall 2022: alto saxophone.

Teaching Experience: Private piano lessons in spring of 2022 (music theory focused).

Teaching Philosophy: Teaching is ultimately student centered. Every student has different background, strength and weakness. My job is to help the students achieve their best by providing customized lessons that specifically suits each unique student. I'm not here to make anyone the way I want them to be, but what I feel is the best version of the person I'm teaching by observation, building a relationship with the student and the parents, and experiences from my teaching and other excellent teachers of the field.

Get to know Andy Huang

My name is Andy Huang. I am currently studying B.A. Piano Concentration at the University of North Texas. I started playing piano when I was 5 years old in China. I like multiple genres of music. I still enjoy Classical music, Tchaikovsky is my favorite composer. In general, romantic music is my favorite regardless of when the music was composed. Besides piano, I like wind instruments very much even though I have less experience, specifically saxophone and oboe currently. Besides music, I like a variety of sports as well. I'm about to try dancing soon, which works perfectly with music. I'm trying to teach music in K-12th grade. I desire to teach all the music related classes: band, choir, orchestra, theory. I like to be open minded about all things.
