About Angela Li
Get to know Angela Li
Angela Li is a Chinese-American violinist and music instructor. She developed an interest in music due to constant exposure to Asian music at home. She expanded her musical interests to classical music in middle school after realizing the differences between the two musical cultures. Over the years, Li taught whenever there was an opportunity including with elementary and middle school students.
Li received a Bachelor’s in Music Education and a Bachelor’s in Accounting at Old Dominion University (ODU) in 2023. She has taken private violin lessons with Jeanne DeDominick. At ODU, Li was a member of the ODU Symphony Orchestra and ODU Monarch Quartet. She has also received honors including Summa Cum Laude, Outstanding Music Graduate Award, Outstanding Undergraduate Music Education Student Award, and Outstanding Student in Music Award. Li is a member of the following organizations: National Association for Music Education (NAfME), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA), SongWorks Educators Association, and Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honor Society.
