      Get to know Angelina Barbosa

Angelina Juliet Barbosa is a cellist and music educator whose life and artistry are deeply shaped by her faith, family, and love for music. She was first introduced to music by her father, Christopher Maynard “Chris” Barbosa (1961–2024), a gifted record producer and musician, who encouraged her to begin piano lessons at the age of six. This early guidance planted the foundation for what would become her lifelong love of music and her eventual discovery of the cello. His legacy of love, wisdom, and passion for music continues to guide her life and career.

Angelina earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Cello Performance from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, graduating cum laude. She studied under the mentorship of Dr. Jamie Clark and Dr. Ignacy Gaydamovich, whose teaching helped her refine her technique, artistry, and interpretive skills.
