      Education: Anna Marie Gruzas holds a Master of Arts in Music, Science, and Technology from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Music in Horn Performance and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
      Performance Experience: Anna Marie Gruzas has performed with Stanford University Orchestras under Paul Phillips, Steve Sano, and Giancarlo Aquilanti, and with Indiana University orchestras, opera, and ballet under Arthur Fagen, Thomas Wilkins, Giancarlo Guerrero, and Teddy Abrams. Her repertoire includes works by Mahler, Strauss, Stravinsky, Ravel, Shostakovich, Mussorgsky, Verdi, Puccini, and Elgar.
      Teaching Experience: Anna is an experienced music educator who has taught middle and high school students in both private and ensemble settings. As a brass instructor at Walled Lake Central High School, she led marching band rehearsals and taught groups of 50–60 students. She also maintained a private horn studio, providing individualized instruction focused on technique, musical expression, confidence, and performance preparation.

      Meet Anna Marie Gruzas

      With over a decade of experience as a hornist and several years of teaching, Anna Marie Gruzas brings a unique combination of professional performance experience, musical knowledge, and a genuine passion for helping musicians grow.

      Anna has performed in orchestral, opera, ballet, and chamber settings, playing repertoire from composers including Mahler, Strauss, Stravinsky, Ravel, Shostakovich, Verdi, Puccini, and Elgar. Her musical training includes studying with renowned hornists Jeff Nelsen, Dale Clevenger, Carl Karoub, and Richard Seraphinoff, along with masterclasses featuring some of the leading horn players in the field.

      As an educator, Anna works with students to build strong fundamentals while developing confidence, musical expression, and an individual sound. Whether you're picking up the horn for the first time or looking to take your playing to the next level, Anna brings experience, enthusiasm, and a personalized approach to every lesson.
