      Teaching Experience: Experience with teaching musical instruments through the education programs at Penn State. Teaching experience ages 6 - adult.
      Teaching Philosophy: Fundamentals is key when beginning a musical instrument. Knowing how the instrument works and how music functions allows a student to become a musician and broaden musical understanding in their own way. Anyone can learn an instrument, and have fun with it too! Learning how to not only practice consistently, but also practice correctly also helps further fundamental development and enjoyment in an instrument.

      Ariel McCoy is a Spring 2022 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Viola Performance. Starting music at three, she began to love music performance through her middle school and high school orchestra experiences. She now teaches viola, violin, and piano. Her other interests include music editing and coaching figure skating.
