About Ashleigh Hendrix

Ashleigh’s personal and professional journeys are rooted in a lifelong appreciation for music education as a vehicle for building personal esteem, healthy self-expression and mental acumen. As a musician trained in classical piano from a young age, her additional experiences in guitar, voice and drums have also informed her musical journey to create a well-rounded understanding of the trials and tribulations of learning to play a new musical instrument.

Having taught piano in Texas, New York and Ecuador, Ashleigh enjoys working with students of all ages and skill levels. She understands that every student is different, learning new things from her students just as they learn from her, whether they are discovering the joys of music making for the first time or honing their skills after many years at the keyboard.

When she’s not teaching, Ashleigh enjoys brushing up on her jazz and Latin piano chops, reading the probable improbabilities found in science fiction, and singing with wild abandon in the car - (since, well…no one is listening).
