About Asia Ellis

Hello, I am Asia Ellis, Voice and Beginner Piano Instructor here at Music and Arts Meridian, MS. 

I have had a passion for singing since I was a young girl, and have continued to develop my singing skills throughout my life. At Mississippi State University, I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education where I studied Classical vocal technique for 5 years. Although I am classically trained, I enjoy singing other styles of music like Jazz, R&B, and Gospel. I have a dream of one day performing on Broadway. 

Currently, I am teaching at Meridian Public High School as their assistant choral director. Previously, I taught at Magnolia Middle School just one month after graduating from MSU. I am a certified Music Educator and have been teaching private lessons since I was in High School. 

Although I have a passion for performing, I also have a passion for sharing my knowledge with others. I desire for people to be the best version of themselves. Not only as a musician, but also as an individual.
