Education: I graduated from Imperial High School.
Performance Experience: I have played as a soloist with the Orquesta de Baja California, and also with the IVC Symphony. I was a member of the Orquesta Rio Nuevo for many years, and I am currently a member of the IVC Symphony.
Teaching Experience: I worked as an ASES tutor at the Heber Elementary School District.
Teaching Philosophy: I believe that anyone can learn how to play an instrument.
Get to know Astrid Ruelas
I started playing the violin thirteen years ago in Mexicali, BC.
I learn how to play at the age of ten, and I have always consider music my favorite subject.
I have always believed that music is very important to the education in oneself.
Music has different definitions in different parts of the world, and is also consider a universal language.
I teach music because I love what I do, and I think everyone is capable of learning how to play an instrument.
