About Atticus Kelly

I am a a multi instrumentalist and educator from Hartford Connecticut. I attended the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts (A performing arts magnet school), and The Hartt School of Music. In my formative years, my musical education was largely self taught. The intuition I developed has been a wellspring of inspiration for my teaching practice. Through some luck, and motivation, I was able to progress very quickly, playing with a professional sound at a young age.

In my teaching, frequently find myself drawing from this experience, and guiding students to a similar result. Progress in any physical medium is cumulative; I find my role is to help my students accumulate knowledge in an organic way. What we learn best, we learn by intuition, and by learning this way, we remove a lot of the stress of striving for progress. This intuition is available to any student, and I am there to help them develop it.

I live in Hartford with my wife, and my cat, Cabbage. In addition to music, I enjoy reading, playing video games, and learning various other skills.
