About Barry Laluna

As a piano player, keyboardist and singer I have been active in the music industry for many years as a performer and teacher, along with holding positions as, musical director, band leader, arranger, accompanist, booking, and show production.

Growing up near New York City gave me a wealth of opportunities for musical studies and experiences. I have performed solo, also in small groups, horn bands, show bands, and big bands around the country. I have also taught jazz, classical, blues, and rock piano, along with flute, sax, and voice for many years.

Over the years I’ve covered most styles of music… jazz, blues, gospel, country, R & B, shows, classical… and have played in some very memorable venues… The Biltmore Hotel in N.Y. City, Princess Resort in Scottsdale, The Oceanic cruise ship, State Theater in St. Petersburg, Tampa Convention Center, Harvey’s Casino in Lake Tahoe, Port of Georgetown Restaurant in Washington, DC, also at many hotels and resorts, corporate functions, theaters, concerts, restaurants and clubs, and recording sessions across the country. Some of the acts I’ve had the pleasure to open for and perform with have been the Righteous Brothers, Diamond Teeth Mary, Leon Redbone, Nicolette Larson, The Drifters among others.
