Performance Experience: Have been playing with local bands in the Charlottesville, Hampton Roads, and Richmond music scenes since 2012. Have recorded several singles, two EPs, and one full album in the studio. Recorded a live album with Age of Fire in 2023. Also, played with Age of Fire at Whisky A-Go-Go in LA in 2023.

Teaching Experience: All of my teaching experience until now has been in chemistry. I have no experience teaching drums yet, but I'm excited to start the journey and think I have a unique perspective to offer!

Teaching Philosophy: I want to instruct students in proper technique and fundamentals but also not stifle their creativity. I want to work with them to develop a curriculum designed around what they want to learn and play. I want to help them find their sound behind the drum kit while also developing the skills to play any gig.

Get to know Bill Morris

I started drumming in middle school band in the year 2000 and continued into high school marching and concert band, developing a strong musical and rudimental foundation. In addition to this, I have also taken lessons from 4 different drum set instructors in various styles and with various approaches to playing and teaching. Since my early twenties, I have played consistently with 7 different bands whose styles range from heavy metal to ska to outlaw country. I am currently playing with the progressive metal band, Age of Fire signed to Sliptrick Records and I am a signature artist with Scorpion Percussion. My biggest influences are Neil Peart, John Bonham, Ringo Starr, Keith Moon, Danny Carey, Jeff Porcaro, Bill Bruford, Stanton Moore, Dave Lombardo, and Bill Bachman.
