Teaching Philosophy
Begin with easy concepts and move toward more complex. Read notes on the musical staff and be able to locate on the guitar. Learn to move each finger independently by playing notes, then combine in two and three finger combinations (chords). Use a metronome to emphasize rhythm and to keep steady time; start slow and speed up with repetition, count the beat out loud. Control the pick to play one then two then more strings together.
