About Braden Jones
Get to know Braden Jones
Braden Jones is a musician with a passion for music, composing, and performing. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, he received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Tennessee in Studio Music and Jazz and is currently pursuing his Master's Degree from the Eastman School of Music, studying the discipline of Jazz and Contemporary Media. Although his primary instrument is the drum set, Braden has also taught and performed on guitar, bass guitar, and piano. He has studied with myriad of teachers, including James Sexton, Gregory Hutchinson, Otis Brown III, Rich Thompson, Eric Scott Reed, and many others. He has performed throughout the United States in various venues with numerous ensembles, including bands like Ok Karma, Rica Chicha, James County, Candela, the Harbingers, 20 Foo Pilots, Bordertown, the New Dawn Trio, Band of Opportunities, the Russell Scarborough Jazz Orchestra, and various collegiate ensembles. Braden has been instructing students of all backgrounds for many years and utilizes various methodologies while incorporating his experiences as an active musician. He continues to perform around the United States while spreading his passion for music through his engagements as a performer, composer, and educator.
