Get to know Carl Boettger
Carl has been playing for 60 years with 50 years of professional playing experience. He studied from Fourth Grade Elementary through High School. After High School he joined the army and attended the Armed Forces School of Music in Norfolk VA/ He attended Texas Southern University performing in Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble. Carl has taught at North Harris County College, and Shepard Middle School and Shepard High School. he has taught private lessons for over 35 years. He has played with many groups including the Army Band, Lanny Steele, The Temptations, Phil Gray, Buddy Brock, The Vibrations, Arnette Cobb, Rhythm Mission and other groups including church groups, pit orchestras, and has played in the 2007 Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and the Assisi Italy Music Festival. He is a member of the Houston Professional Musicians Union Local 65-699 A.F.M.
