Performance Experience: Cathy has played in multiple symphony orchestras over the decades. Before moving into paid orchestras such as the Phoenix Pro Musica, Lake Charles Symphony Orchestra, she had played in multiple voluntary orchestras and praise and worship services. She continues to perform with local churches as well as the Flower Mound Symphony Orchestra.
Teaching Experience: 25 years
Teaching Philosophy: Cathy believes every student should learn how to read music when starting instead of learning songs by memory. It is important that students learn the fundamentals of an instrument first so they can later learn to play by ear and develop their musicianship.
Get to know Cathy Warmack
Cathy began playing violin at the age of 10 in 4th Grade and took to it very quickly. She joined orchestra in middle school and played through high school where she decided she would one day pursue music at a higher academic level.
Nobody knows the importance of chasing a dream more than Cathy. After 40 years, her dream came true and in 2008, she received her Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance. Cathy knows that life happens, but to always keep your eye on the prize and hopes to impart this same drive and passion for music onto her students.
