      Get to know Cecelia C.

Cecelia is a Berklee graduate from Missouri with a classical background in both violin and viola. She participated in high level ensembles all around her hometown area during her years of formative school, starting classical and contemporary studies at the age of 8. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Viola Performance and a minor in Psychology from Berklee College of Music Boston in 2020. Her musical passions lie in ensemble work and folk music, having done folk studies with acclaimed Bluegrass fiddler Darol Anger, Celtic Cellist Natalie Haas, and the multi-genre multi-instrumentalist Dr. David Wallace, the latter also being her primary classical private instructor for all four years. Participating in over a dozen ensembles during her years of school, she even participated in one centering around free improvisation, and another consisting entirely of authentic Greek folk music. Both of Cecelia‘s parents are music teachers and her family fostered her creative musical interests from the beginning, resulting in Cecelia winning her first Missouri fiddle contest at the age of nine. Cecelia find her diversity to be her greatest asset and looks forward to giving back by starting musicians out with the right foundation so they can play any music they choose.
