Get to know Charlie Kendall
Charlie is a freelance guitarist, producer, songwriter, and educator from Charleston, SC. Not restricted to any one genre, Charlie grew up with a deep appreciation for blues, gospel, bluegrass, and other roots music, but soon began branching out into rock, jazz, pop, reggae, and other styles. Charlie started playing the saxophone in middle school band and went on to place in All-State concert and jazz bands throughout high school! He studied guitar performance and songwriting at Berklee College of Music in Boston with guitar luminaries including Eric Gales, David Tronzo, Wayne Krantz, Julien Kasper, Tomo Fujita, Jeff Lockhart, and Woody Mann, and he also has national touring experience sharing the stage with artists including Goo Goo Dolls, Gin Blossoms, George Porter Jr, Ripe, Shwayze, Marcy Playground, Malcolm Jamal Warner, and Nth Power! Charlie has also licensed music for Discovery Channel and Bravo, and he made an appearance in the season finale of HBO's "The Deuce" alongside his indie/rock band Chameleon Culture.
