      Education: Currently a third year music education student at Western Kentucky University
      Performance Experience: Chloe Packard has played in many ensembles, including Western Kentucky University's orchestra, wind ensemble, jazz band, and trumpet studio. She also plays for many smaller gigs in Bowling Green such as church holiday performances, solos, and taps at veteran funerals. She has a passion for orchestra and hopes to pursue an orchestral position after receiving her degree.
      Teaching Experience: Chloe has been teaching music since she was 15 years old. She began by informally teaching family piano and violin, but soon began teaching music lessons professionally. As a WKU music education student, Chloe has many opportunities to teach. She gives trumpet lessons to students in the county and city schools, but she also works as a pre-K teacher. This has allowed her to grow in her understanding of educational psychology and how to apply it to music lessons.
      Teaching Philosophy: Chloe leads her lesson with a student-centered approach. She believes that finding ways to intrinsically motivate students will lead to life-long musicians. Her lessons follow a flexible yet planned structure in order to create healthy habits in young musicians.

      Get to know Chloe Packard

      Chloe Packard is a Junior music education student at WKU. She focuses in trumpet, but also has extensive experience in violin and piano. She began her musical career as a violin player from age 4. She learned through the Suzuki method and applies that approach to trumpet and piano as well. 

      She began playing trumpet and piano in the 8th grade, and fell in love with it. She plans on becoming a trumpet professor and perform on the side after receiving her degrees.
