About Chris

Chris Faulkenberry is a violin and viola teacher who works with beginner to advanced violin students and beginner to intermediate viola students, helping them build strong fundamentals in a supportive and encouraging environment. His lessons begin with scales and technical exercises before focusing on repertoire, incorporating music reading, ear training, and an understanding of how technique and theory apply to real musical experiences. While beginners often start with the Suzuki method, Chris also teaches classical, pop, rock, Celtic, jazz, bluegrass, and other styles as students progress. Whether preparing for recitals, school and honor orchestra auditions, or simply playing for personal enjoyment, Chris provides personalized instruction that emphasizes persistence, confidence, and steady growth. Chris has played violin for most of his life and has been teaching since 2018.
