      Teaching Philosophy: Have fun and work hard. Music is meant to be fun and enjoyable. Teaching wise, I focus on a great sound produced and playing rhythms correctly. After that is just playing lots of music. I try to bring the best out of each student and bring their full potential out.

      Get to know Chris

      Hi, my name is Christopher Graves. I am a graduate of Lamar University with a Bachelor's in Music Education. I primarily play saxophone with playing experience on all other instruments as well. I have performed many different genres of music. I have performed well-known classical pieces such Glazunov Concerto, Creston Sonata, Bach Cello Suite, and many other works. I have performed with several saxophone quartets. I have performed with the Lamar University symphonic band, wind ensemble, and jazz band. I also marched for four years with the Lamar University marching band. I taught at Port-Neches Groves High School and Groves Middle School. I worked with many saxophone players along with clarinet and flute players.
