Get to know Christopher Smith
Chris has been playing guitar for over 15 years and has been teaching at The Music Stores since 2011. He holds a B.S. in Classical Guitar Performance from Radford University, where he studied with Kris Hale and Dr. Robert Trent. In addition to classical guitar, Chris studied composition with Dr. Bruce Mahin and jazz with Dr. Christopher White. Before attending RU Chris studied with Andrew Padula where they focused on rock n roll, blues, funk, heavy metal, and improvisation. Chris has been a member of numerous bands in the Northern Virginia area as a guitarist and bassist. He is currently the guitarist of the psychedelic indie rock band NAH.
