About Christian Laredo

Christian has been involved in music from a young age, starting piano and voice lessons at age 8. Since then, he has picked up a variety of instruments, including guitar, ukulele, bass, drums, and concert and marching percussion. Before college, he participated in a number of solo and ensemble contests, honor bands, and All-State Honor Choirs. Christian majored in music at Illinois Central College, where he studied piano and voice, and is currently studying music education at the University of Kansas. In college, he has been in vocal jazz ensembles, including the renaissance of KU’s Jazz Singers, concert and chamber choirs, concert and jazz bands (percussion, bass, and piano), KU Marching Jayhawks (cymbals), KU Volleyball Band, and KU Basketball Band (electric bass). Christian teaches a variety of instruments at a number of skill and age levels, but specializes in classical piano and voice. He can teach up to intermediate guitar, bass, and ukulele, and beginning orchestral strings.
