About Christine Metzger

Education: Tottenville H.S, S.I.N.Y academic. Manhattan School of Music; Bachelor of Music. Certifications: Yoga, Zumba, and Reiki.

Performance Experience: Many Piano recitals given throughout Staten Island and New Jersey. Performances given with the Shrewsbury Chorale. Performances given every Sunday in various Churches throughout Staten Island and currently in New Jersey.

Teaching Experience: 45 years of private piano instruction. Piano Pedagogy ; Wagner College S.I.N.Y. Music Director; Our Lady Queen of Peace S.I.N.Y. Class instructor; Yoga and Zumba.

Teaching Philosophy: My philosophy is to instill fundamental technique ,theory, and musicality.I give the student clear understanding of the history and musical nature of a piece. I teach the importance of music theory within each composition. I am able to expertly convey and demonstrate proper finger and hand dexterity and execution. My students attain tools of self discipline and confidence that i believe can benefit all.
