About Christopher D'Allura
Get to know Christopher D'Allura
I have been teaching clarinet and saxophone lessons at Music & Arts since June 2018. I was born and raised in New York and started my musical journey in 3rd grade, in which I started to play trumpet. It was in 4th grade that I thought that the saxophone looked like a cool instrument to play, so I switched, and have played saxophone ever since! In 8th grade, I decided to take up clarinet so that I would be allowed more performing opportunities in high school.
I attended college at the Crane School of Music in SUNY Potsdam (State University of New York) in which I studied with world renowned saxophonist, Christopher Creviston. It was here that I obtained a bachelor's degree in Music Education after completing my student teaching in elementary general music/chorus and middle school band.
In May of 2012, my wife and I moved down to North Carolina, where we began our careers as teachers. I taught middle school band in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools from August 2013 to June 2023. Currently, I teach band choir and drama at Christ The King Catholic High School in Huntersville, North Carolina. My wife and I currently reside in Concord, North Carolina where are raising three wonderful boys: Michael, Christopher Jr. and Daniel.
