Performance Experience: After an early 2000's stint arranging for Dave Fabry's Jazz ensemble at St. Joseph's University, I left in 2004 to form the Videogame-Jazz Prog-Metal group called "Agent Moosehead" that's rostered such Philladelphia Jazz greats as Calvin Weston, Elliot Levin, Daniel Peterson, David Fishkin, Bart Miltenberger, Larry Toft, and more. In the Spring of 2018 I assembled the "G-Force Quartet" to explore a more straight ahead electric Jazz repertoire. Both groups continue to operate and perform live.
Teaching Experience: Private instructor: 2004 to present. Instructor at Music & Arts: 2008 to present.
Teaching Philosophy: One of my main beliefs is that the whole reason music exists is to share it. That could mean sharing what you're playing with a crowd of 1000 people in a theater, with 50 people in a small club, with your family members hearing you play for the first time, or even sharing it with the musicians you're creating it with at a rehearsal. I believe my purpose is to share what I've learned about music over the last 30 years with those eager to learn so they can share their music with others too.

Hi! I'm Chris and I've been teaching at Music & Arts since 2008. Sharing my knowledge and being a mentor, guide, and six string Jedi master for the next crop of musicians is what makes what I do every day so rewarding. Whether you're a guitarist that's played for years and wants to improve your understanding of theory and sight reading, someone who aspires to form a band and write their own music, or you just want to play some tunes on your porch and watch the summer sun go down, I would be excited to work with you and help you achieve your goals. Beginners and first-timers welcome! (The best paintings start off as blank canvases, right?)
