Get to know Ciara Bates
“Ciara Bates began her musical journey at the age of five, playing viola and earning first chair positions in orchestras throughout her school years, including All-County and All-State ensembles. She continued her studies in music performance at Polk State College before graduating from Rowan College of South Jersey in 2021.
A multi-talented musician and vocalist, Ciara has been performing in show choirs from elementary school through college and had the incredible honor of singing at Carnegie Hall with a choir in 2009. She also regularly gigs locally in Columbia and has been playing piano since a young age.
Beyond music, Ciara is a passionate educator and the mother of two young boys. She believes in tailoring her teaching methods to fit each student’s unique needs and learning style, fostering a love of music in children and adults alike. Ciara is also the author of A Simple Act of Kindness, a children’s book about compassion for animals and others.
Ciara’s dedication to music, teaching, and creativity makes her an inspiring mentor for piano and vocal students.”
