About Cole Larson

Cole Larson, a guitarist and electric bassist from Hickory, NC, began studying classical guitar 8 years ago with notable classical guitarist Alan Mearns. Once music became an essential part of Larson's life, he spent his senior year of high school studying with Joseph Pecoraro at UNCSA, earning a diploma with a concentration in guitar performance. After graduation, he began studying with Dr. Adam Kossler at Appalachian State in the Fall of 2022, from which he will graduate in Spring 2026 with a Bachelor's in Music Composition. Outside of classical guitar, Larson is well-versed in performance on multiple instruments, most notably electric 6-string, 8-string, and bass, which he plays for several bands in the Boone area. Larson actively performs in many different styles of music, including classical, jazz, rock, indie, metal, early music/renaissance, and contemporary.
