About Connor Kimbler

Connor Kimbler is a string bass, electric bass, and trombone teacher who works with beginner to advanced students in a supportive and encouraging environment. His lessons focus on building a strong, quality sound while developing sight-reading, intonation, music theory, harmony, and improvisation skills through both classical and jazz styles. Connor believes mistakes are an important part of learning and helps students grow confidently by strengthening fundamentals while incorporating music that interests them personally. He encourages students to explore meaningful performance opportunities while learning at a pace that feels comfortable and rewarding. Connor is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies at Marshall University and has performed in all-state ensembles, jazz festivals, theatre productions, and professional gigs throughout the region.
