Teaching Philosophy: Learning an instrument should be fun! While the rudiments and fundamentals are important, it is equally important for the student to feel engaged and challenged by the material. I believe instructors should communicate with the students to gauge their musical interests and be able to cater their lesson plans to each unique student!
Get to know Conor Harris
Conor Harris has been playing drums for over 14 years. He received drum kit lessons for 4 years through Coffey Music in Westminster, as well as studying Scottish Pipe/Marching Band drumming (snare and bass drum) with the Guilford & Glencoe Pipe Band for 3 years. He received his Bachelors in Fine Arts from Towson University where he also co-composed and performed the soundtrack for their Fall '19 production of Hamlet! He has experience playing live music (both on drums and on bass guitar) and his drumming was recently featured on the song "Revealed in the Haze" by progressive metal group Shadow Thoughts.
Conor is excited to share his love of music and percussion with his students and hopes to get folks as excited about drumming as he is!
