Teaching and playing guitar and banjo has been a joyous life long pursuit. My goal is to help all students to become musician/players by providing a positive instructional setting leading to a life long enjoyment of music making.
Get to know Dean Bouras
Dean Bouras teaches beginner to advanced guitar, banjo, ukulele, trumpet, trombone, French horn, euphonium, tuba, saxophone, flute, and clarinet. His structured lessons help students understand how their instrument works while developing technique, music reading, theory, composition, arranging, and strong musicianship. Dean teaches all styles and genres, using level-appropriate repertoire, positive reinforcement, and individualized goals to guide progress. He also keeps parents informed and encourages students to explore musical opportunities they may not have considered. Dean holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Music Education and brings 35 years of public school band directing and 50 years of professional guitar experience.
