Performance Experience: Damon is primarily a bassist in a variety of settings, including rock bands, big bands, and musical theater. He is also a church pianist.
Damon's first "professional" music gig was bassist in a punk band.
He has performed in the orchestras of nearly 50 musicals, including a season at the Golden Apple Dinner Theater in Sarasota, Florida.
Teaching Experience: 2007-Present; Damon also teaches math.
Teaching Philosophy: Emphasis is placed on music theory and instrument technique so that all students have the capability to play their preferred style of music.

Damon is from Bradenton, Florida. He is married to Stefanie Batson-Martin.
Damon began his music education on piano at age 5. He received his first guitar at 14 and bass the following year. He also played euphonium/baritone throughout middle and high school.
Damon studied bass in college with John Miller, Dennis Marks, and Dr Jason Lindsay. He has been fortunate enough to receive a private lesson from John Clayton. He has also studied music composition with Dr Gary Smart.
Damon holds degrees in music and mathematics.
