      Get to know Dan Deluca

Hello and welcome to the Music and Arts teacher pages. I’m Dan DeLuca and I’m honored to be a part of this excellent musical staff. My goal is to educate, motivate, encourage and enrich students’ lives through active music making experiences. I believe that each individual has creative potential, and having an interest in music is the first step to musical growth. Learning to play an instrument takes patience, practice and perseverance and is a rewarding and enjoyable process. Everyone is unique in their own special way, and my duty as a teacher is to adapt instruction based on the person’sinterests, goals and learning style. Progress often takes place in small steps, and hopefully this process will lead the student to continue to experience the joy of music making and continue a lifelong interest. As for my experience, I’ve been teaching for 30 years and hope to continue for another 30! I’ve been fortunate to have played hundreds of gigs in different band settings as well as solo and duo. I taught my very first guitar lesson while still in high school, which led me to work towards degrees in education and music. Thank you for visiting the teaching pages and keep on enjoying music!
