About Daniel Isaacs
Get to know Daniel Isaacs
Mr. Isaacs is an accomplished musician, director, and educator. He is currently the Associate Conductor of the Broad Street Concert Band based in Sugar Hill, GA. His passion for music began at an early age when he started piano lessons, and grew as he began playing percussion in middle school. Mr. Isaacs serves on the Board of the Northwinds Symphonic Band based out of Gainesville, GA, where he is also the Percussion Section Leader. He further serves the Percussion Section Leader for the Broad Street Concert Band.
Mr. Isaacs obtained his Bachelors of Music from Georgia Southern University where he studied Percussion Performance and Composition. Mr. Isaacs studied under Dr. Matt Fallin. He then obtained a Certification and Masters in Music Education from the University of West Georgia, where he studied percussion with Dr. Doug Overmier, and conducting with Dr. John Bleuel.
Mr. Isaacs has an active Georgia teaching certification in Music (P-12) and has taught Band and General Music classes for students ranging in age from elementary school through college. His experience further extends to teaching middle school chorus. Mr. Isaacs has worked with marching bands, percussion ensembles, and jazz bands, in addition to working with concert and symphonic bands. He has also served as the Producer and Music Director for musical theater performances at the middle school level.
Mr. Isaacs has served as a GMEA District Honor Band Adjudicator, and Percussion Coordinator. He has also served as a pre-LGPE evaluator for local middle and high school band programs, helping the programs prepare for the Large Group Performance Evaluation each year.
Mr. Isaacs has taught private music lessons for students ranging in age from as young as 5 through adults. While Mr. Isaacs’ primary instruments are piano and percussion, especially mallet percussion, he teaches students on most brass and woodwind instruments.
