About Danielle Wilcox

I have been in music most of my life. Started piano lessons at age 6. Got involved in Marching Band and have been apart of something related to that all my life. I love building better Band Programs. I love the beginning of a new program and what it takes to keep it successful. My main love is teaching. I feel complete when I teach. My family is musical for my son Corey Wilcox is a very well known jazz trombonist in New York City. And his father, Wycliffe Gordon is a very well known Jazz Artist, Composer.  Where they choose the stage, I choose behind the scenes.  Have a strong background in educating students with special needs as well. For I am a mother of an Autistic Child. Sometimes it takes a village. I've played since I was 11, a B Flat Clarinet and then picked up the saxophone and flute in the later years. My background is well rounded in Music Education, Structure, Teaching Concepts, Music Fundamentals and Theory.
