About Dave Allen

David Allen has been performing, recording, and teaching guitar for more than 35 years. His musical background spans rock, blues, folk, country, acoustic fingerstyle, improvisation, and modern guitar technology. He studied at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California, and has performed extensively in a variety of bands throughout the Northeast.

David specializes in helping students develop strong fundamentals while making lessons enjoyable and tailored to each individual's goals. Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time, learning your favorite songs, improving your lead playing, or exploring advanced topics like improvisation, ear training, looping, and guitar effects, David provides a practical, encouraging approach to learning.

His teaching philosophy is simple: every student can make meaningful progress with the right guidance, consistent practice, and music they genuinely enjoy playing. Students of all ages and experience levels are welcome.
