About Dave Cowan

Dave started music education at the age of six on piano. He did classical studies on that instrument for ten years. Dave started learning the guitar at the age of eleven and took some lessons. Dave was able to quickly grasp the concept of guitar by utilizing musical knowledge from his piano studies. He also started playing drums at the age of ten and that became the instrument that he first played in a live band situation. His musical studies continued during my college years and focused on music theory and composition. After graduation, Dave spent the next five years touring the east coast and mid-west performing with different bands, gaining experience in the field of performing and honing his musical skills. He then developed an interest in teaching and began his academic adventure in 2008 imparting his knowledge to students and continues to do s to do so now.
