About David Cohen

David Cohen is a brass, woodwind, and piano teacher who helps students build strong musical foundations through structured, encouraging instruction tailored to their individual goals. He teaches all levels of trumpet, trombone, euphonium, and tuba, beginner to intermediate flute, clarinet, saxophone, and French horn, as well as beginner piano. His lessons focus on technique, musicianship, music reading, theory, and audition preparation, with particular expertise in preparing students for highly competitive TMEA and ATSSB Region Band auditions. David believes every student deserves a world-class music education and emphasizes effort, confidence, and long-term musical growth. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of North Texas, is EC-12 Music Teacher Certified, received the TMEA Collegiate Music Educator Award, and has experience judging TMEA Region Band auditions and teaching Texas marching bands.
