About David Dell'Isola

David Dell’Isola is a Maryland-based guitar and bass instructor with over a decade of experience teaching students of all ages from preschool through high school and beyond. Drawing from a rich background in performance and recording, David has toured the East Coast in various bands spanning genres like alternative rock and hip-hop. Notably, David has recorded at Inner Ear Studios in Virginia, having the honor of working with the legendary producer Don Zientara, renowned for his work with iconic bands such as Fugazi, Minor Threat, and Bad Brains.

David brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to music instruction. The teaching philosophy centers on the belief that to learn music is to play music, emphasizing fun and engagement from the outset. The focus being on the physical and technical aspects of playing, ensuring students experience the joy of making music before delving into theoretical concepts.

Passionate about providing students with the tools, techniques, and support needed to enjoy playing and notice their growth, David is dedicated to fostering a love for music in every student.
