David Deratzian teaches trombone, bass, and cello, guiding students with a thoughtful, student-centered approach. He helps beginners build strong fundamentals while supporting advancing players as they refine technique and explore new repertoire. Lessons blend structure with each student’s interests, incorporating classical, jazz, and popular music, along with improvisation and music theory. David encourages confidence through performance opportunities and collaboration, while also coaching audition preparation when needed. David has performed professionally for several decades and has been actively teaching since 2023.
