      Get to know David Zucker

      David Zucker teaches music at Kingswood-Oxford school in West Hartford. He studied music performance and composition at Skidmore College and later studied Indian music in Madras, India. David’s first instrument was the piano, but he has considerable experience with guitar, as well. His influences are diverse and include classical, jazz, rock, and electronic music. David has had success as a performer, producer, and composer, spending many years as a working musician in both San Francisco and Seattle. While in Seattle, David worked considerably with film composer B.C. Smith. As a performer, Zucker toured the U.S. with his funk, fusion band, Siamese, and has toured Europe and South India. He has shared the stage with Phish, K.J. Sawka, Skerik, and Bill Frisell. David has currently been working with Grammy award-winning composer, Paul Avgerinos, on composing music for television and film. His music can be heard on many programs ranging from reality television to the NFL.
