About Dylan

Meet Dylan Barnes, a professional guitar player with a passion for music education. Originally from Long Beach California, Dylan honed his skills while studying at Berklee College of Music under the guidance of some of the top Jazz guitar players in the industry, including Tim Miller, Bruce Foreman, Freddie Bryant, and Norman Zocher.

Dylan has an extensive performance history, having played at weddings across the Northeast, provided music for Sunday services at Fellowship Christian Church, and performed at numerous club gigs throughout Boston and the greater Hartford area. His accolades include multiple scholarships for college and a bronze medal in music composition at the national NAACP Act-So competition in his second year.

As a teacher, Dylan's approach is informed by his own musical journey. He believes in teaching his students the music they love while also introducing them to the theory behind it. His teaching style is designed to inspire and motivate his students to achieve their musical goals, whether they're beginners or advanced players.
