Teaching Philosophy: My approach is truly individual and based on the specific needs of each student. The atmosphere in class is inviting, fun and encouraging to learn. Piano learning would not be possible without some elementary knowledge of Music Theory, Music Notation and Sight-Reading techniques. We also discuss the time in history in which particular music was written as well as the biography of the composer to better understand and appreciate the works and mind set of the master.

Elena has close to 30 years of
experience working in the Seattle and Los Angeles
areas. Music has been a huge and the
most incredible part of her life since she was 5 years old, with her mother as her first teacher. Throughout her
musical journey she studied with the head of Composition Department at Moscow
Conservatory and was a concert pianist, studio pianist, a concertmaster. Additionally, she has served as a piano accompanist
to violinists, cellists, flutists, singers, dancers, and has performed with trios,
quartets, quintets, operas.
